No Flowers in 2012 May at Chicago

The most flowers were bloomed in March this year, so no flowers in May. However, it was wrong. Hiroko noticed that the tall and gorgeous sweet flags (Iris family) are blooming here and there. This flower used for the Boy’s Day’s Celebration. Those who lived in Yamagata used to make the sweet flag leaves’ bath. Hiroko remembered to make the whistle with the sweet flag leaves in the bath tab.

Hiroko went to the craft store to take different route the day, and found the sweet flag garden.

In May, there is another celebration. Yes, it is “Mother’s Day.” Hiroko forgot to take the photos for the mother’s day luncheon at Thai Restaurant. It was very delicious and happy occasion. Our daughter Lisa said she could take us there one more time, then, making sure to take the photos.

2012 Easter Celebration Family Dinner, Journal

Everyone was so busy in April that 2012 Easter Celebration Family Dinner was held on Saturday, April 28.

Appetizer and drinks were as usual. Here are the foods for the dinner.

The main dish of dinner was pork tenderloin. It was very, very good.

Potato, Ham, Jambalaya – there were more foods, such as Salad, Green Beans with Bacon, Cauliflower, MacCheese, etc.

There was also Happy Birthday celebration for Dave’s niece, K-chan and 2 others.

They are planning to go to Florida to celebrate K-chan’s Birthday with family, so she got lots summer clothes for Florida.

K-chan was so happy to receive two cute big eyes “Beanie Babies”
