Calo (Italian) Ristorante

Give thanks to Ranny and Joyce for the Calo’s gift certificate given to Dan-san and Hiroko as Christmas present. Having the dinner on the day Dan-san and Hiroko left for Las Vegas was very convenient for Hiroko. It made Hiroko so happy that she didn’t have to cook or wash the dishes before their trip.

This is Calo’s sign board hanging in front of the restaurant.

Couple of different kinds of Italian bread and olive oil/parmesan cheese

Salad and pizza bread

Dan-san’s dish – marinara sauce pasta

Hiroko-s dish – three different kinds of mushroom pasta

Calo has been located on 5343 N. Clark Street, Chicago for 48 years. Many new restaurants come and go, but Calo is here all the time. Calo was renovated inside the restaurant 3 or 4 years ago. Before the renovation the restaurant was dark but now it has changed very well. The restaurant has still kept very wonderful Italian atmospheres and the taste of food are also very good. Dan-san and Hiroko enjoyed those foods served at Calo.

Give thanks to our Lord for giving us our daily need. Lord Jesus teaches us the following prayer:
“Our Father which art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done on the earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors
Lead us not in temptation but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Amen
